Purpose
The Children’s Spiritual Formation Committee works with and supports the Lifelong Spiritual Formation Director in creating and sustaining Spiritual Formation programming for children and youth.
Charge
The Children’s Spiritual Formation Committee plans and coordinates educational, community building, and spiritual programs and activities for children and youth. With the minister, the committee has representation on a search committee for the Director of Lifelong Spiritual Formation and recommends candidates to the Board of Trustees for approval. The Children’s Spiritual Formation Committee supports the Director of Lifelong Spiritual Formation in developing and implementing Spiritual Formation programming for children and youth, professional advancement, improvements in salary and benefits, additional supplies and equipment, etc. The Children’s Spiritual Formation Committee, with the minister and, if needed a Sabbatical Support Committee, develops a plan for continuing programming during the Director of Lifelong Spiritual Formation’s sabbatical.
